Lately I've been thinking, what makes a good journal entry? I've been looking through the journals I like to keep up with (Reach for the Stars and AngieJ's LJ just to mention the two I check the most often) and am speculating - why do I find these interesting?? Is it because they update regularly? Definitely! Is it because they write about interesting things? Actually no. Well, of course that is what got me started reading their journals, but it is not the reason I am still hanging on. I'm hanging on because this is a way to get to know them better. I know both Heidi and AngieJ from a mailing list I'm on, and while I got to know enough about them through that to know that they were great people, I am learning SO much more about them, now that I'm reading their journals. And I love it!

Don't get me wrong, I do find their writing interesting, but that is not necessarily because what they write about is interesting, but because they find it interesting. So Heidi, if you're reading this, I most definitely don't find you the most boring woman in the world ;-) .

I guess what I'm getting at, is how should I continue my updates here? As it is at the moment, I only write when something major happens, because I'm afraid you'll get bored from reading about my everyday life. However, that means I only update very seldomly, and when I start thinking about it, I DON'T think it's boring to read about Heidi's and AngieJ's every day life.

So I leave it to you - should I try to update more frequently, or continue as I have started? Please send me a note at NZNetty.

Thank you!
