Well, a lot of things have happened since I updated last.

Most importantly, on Monday a very-long-awaited-for girl was finally born. Welcome to this world, Alyssa Arianna. I think few births have been SO anticipated by people from all over the world, with people from far and near checking her mother's online journal and weblog every second minute. We didn't get any news about her until today, so I was starting to get a tad concerned, but thankfully, though Heidi is a bit the worse for wear after the c-section, Alyssa Arianna seems to be doing fine.

Last I wrote, I said that I hoped to be going to my DB's place the following weekend. Alas, that didn't happen. He took sick Friday (a nasty bout of the stomach flu) and was only just getting over it the following Tuesday. The weekend was h**l to get through, as I was constantly hoping he'd call and tell me he was well enough for a visit, while at the same time knowing deep inside that that wouldn't happen. I _really_ don't want to go over my feelings of that weekend, as it's something I hope to never repeat, but at least one good thing came of it: While he didn't come out completely, at least he's now given his parents a *hint* to his parents about me. He was staying at their place while he was sickest, and told them that if they didn't feel up to take care of him, he could call his private nurse. Of course I don't know his parents, but I know that _my_ parents would think more than twice, if I told them something like that, so I hope his parents work the same way.

Monday rehersals for this year's drama production started. For once we haven't written the play ourselves, but are performing "Wyrd Sisters" by Terry Pratchett. Terry Pratchett is a hilarious fantasy author and I can definitely recommend his books to any fantasy-lover. My favourites so far are "Wyrd Sisters" and "Mort". If any of you have read WS, I play the role of Granny Weatherwax. A brilliant part, and one of the best / funniest I've had in ages! Still have a couple of lines to learn off by heart for the rehersal tomorrow though, so I'd better go do that once I finish updating here.

This weekend has been okay. Once again I was supposed to have gone to Lars' place Saturday, and though I tried to believe it would actually happen, I was still scared stiff it wouldn't... for good reason. Don't know why I'm even surprised even longer - seems like the fates themselves are against us in this.

Still, it wasn't as bad as last weekend. Explaination follows: we had arranged that I'd come to his place Saturday, the excuse being that there was a soccer match both of us wanted to see. Saturday morning Lars calls me and tells me that his brother ('M') had invited a bunch of his friends over to watch the match, and that he was actually more or less counting on Lars not being there. I was SO not impressed. Of course it's M's place, but if Lars had mentioned his plans earlier, I cannot imagine there having been a problem. I may be mistaken though, and that he found this out _because_ he mentioned his plans...

Anyway, I was pretty pissed at him, and told him straight out, that the only way I'd still want to see him that day, was if he told M about me. To my surprise he actually agreed to that right away, so now M knows that Lars had a

'date' last night, and spent the night. I don't know what else Lars may have told him when he came home today (I mean, if I was M, I'd want to know how Lars' date has gone), but he'll let me know tomorrow. He promised me it'd be a favourable account though ;) Though I REALLY want to meet his family, at the moment it means more to me that they just _know_ about me. Besides, I have to go to his place before opening night of "Wyrd Sisters", as he's got a Monty Pyton(sp?) show on video in which there's a woman I have to copy for my character.

Perhaps I'm naive for keeping my hopes up, but I'm actually more hopeful now than I was this time last week. I know I may not see Lars' family for another month yet, but from here on it's because we're both BUSY with WS, not because of any broken promises from his side. And who knows, he may just surprise me, and invite me to come to his father's birthday next weekend! ;) I'm not stupid enough to count on it - or even hope for it - but miracles have been known to happen ;)
